Dancers: Our average song length for dancing is about 3-3 1/4 minutes so you don't get stuck dancing with the guy who steps on your toes through Serious Jazz Solo Torture for 14 1/2 minutes while the bass player takes his 4th solo that song. We know how it is. Very occassionally a tune will go to 5 minutes or be under 3. My boys are professionals and there is typically only a short space between tunes so you guys can keep dancing. A typical (swing) dance set might look like this as a starting point:
  1. 140 bpm swing
  2. 120 bpm swing
  3. 170 bpm swing
  4. 150 bmp swing
  5. 80 bpm swing ballad
  6. 160 bpm swing
  7. jazz waltz at 140 bpm
  8. 125 bpm swing ballad
  9. 150 bpm swing
  10. 110 bpm swing ballad
  11. 160 bpm latin tune
  12. 145 bpm swing
Of course, the set is flexible according to the venue and event - we can custom our set as well.
